Bradgate Sixth Form Criteria for 2020 Entry
To be accepted into the Sixth Form all students must be able to demonstrate a good record of attendance and effort. Students will usually study three A Level subjects. However if students have an excellent GCSE profile we would consider students taking four A levels.
All A Levels are full time two year courses.
To join Bradgate Sixth Form there is an entry criteria of five standard passes at GCSE (at least a Grade 4). This must include at least a Grade 4 in English Language and Maths at GCSE. Students will need to gain at least a Grade 4 in the subjects they would like to study at A Level. For English Literature, Maths and Science Subjects there are additional subject requirements.
Additional Specific Subject Requirements for English Literature, Maths and Science Subjects:
English Literature: requires at least a Grade 5 in English (Literature or Language).
Maths: requires at least a Grade 6 in maths.
For those students who have studied Combined Science at least two Grade 5s will be required.
For those students who have studied Triple Science at least two Grade 5s will be required with at least a Grade 5 in the science subject/s they wish to study at A Level.
For those students who have not met the entry criteria or subject requirements there is an appeal procedure, through the Head of Sixth Form, if there are mitigating circumstances.
